Teaching Reading and Writing
To Adults Who Think and Learn Differently
Presented by: Dr. Richard Cooper

Dr. Richard Cooper visited Indiana in the fall of 2002 to conduct workshop presentations and visit local programs to demonstrate effective screening and instructional strategies. This training series was produced based on his visit. Viewers will see demonstrations of activities, strategies, and techniques to supplement the teaching of reading and writing skills to adults with varying degrees of learning difficulties.  Dr. Cooper explains some of the common reasons why adults have difficulty with written language and describes the “red flags” that teachers observe in students.
